PBS Medicine
Here is some information on PBS medicine. If you have a Healthcare card, you pay about 5 dollars to buy a medicine that is prescribed by your doctor. People who don't have a Healthcare card pay the full price of the medicine. They pay the high prices for every medicine they need to get. The government pays the gap for people who have a Healthcare card. This is called subsidising. Here is a web page that tells you all you need to know about PBS medicine. Remember that you are not allowed to send PBS medicine overseas to your family and friends. You can get a fine of 5000 dollars for doing so. Click here to read more.
